
















| SALUD al día magazine was born in 2004, this is a Spanish magazine exclusively about health, that have been publishing positive messages to its readers since it was created. In the performance of its responsibilities, SALUD al dia magazine became a member of the “Public & Community Relations Committee” of South Florida Hospital & Healthcare Association and they have maintained a very close and excellent relations with Hospitals, Universities, Doctors, Foundations, Healthcare Professionals, USA Government Healthcare Institutions, Pharmacological Laboratories, Health Insurance and Medical Discount Programs providers, becoming a channel of diffusion of these organizations for the Hispanic community in general. SALUD al día magazine have received recognitions from the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County and the community, for they educational labor. In October 2008 they were distinguished with “The Hispanic HIV Leadership Award” given by Hispanic Committee “Latinos en Accion” and Broward County Health Department, SALUD al dia magazine was named the Official Spanish-Language Magazine 2009-2010 for Go Red for Women from the American Heart Association. Their natural vocation to get involved with the community, have taking them to held positions as part of the Healthcare Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches, Director of Community Relations of the Latin Chamber of Commerce of Broward, Community Relations Council of Broward Health, Community Advisory Committee of the Hispanic Community Health Study from the University of Miami and active member of few Chambers of Commerce in South Florida. SALUD al día magazine have also made some international contributions as being a continuous sponsor of Ronald Mc Donald House of Charity and their supporting programs that directly improve the health and well being of children worldwide. Thanks to SALUD al dia, Peace Corp from Zambia (Africa), got the necessary money to complete the project “Orphan and Vulnerable Children Housing in July/August 2008. SALUD al día magazine have been invited to participate as a panelist for the first Coalition Panel on Health for Latinos, event organized by the Puerto Rican / Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (PRHCC) and held in Memorial Hospital Miramar on May, 2008. They shared responsibilities with some executives from the PRHCC and Healthcare Organizations as Memorial Healthcare System, National Kidney Foundation, Broward County Health Department, Hispanic Community Health Study (University of Miami), American Cancer Society, Broward Regional Health Planning Council, Life Alliance – Organ Donation (University of Miami); discussing topics about Health Awareness, Public Health, HIPAA Policy and they also participated in planning the second Coalition Panel to discuss HIV/AIDS “A Threat to the Hispanic Community” on December 1st 2008 at Ana G. Mendez University System. SALUD al día magazine have been also distinguished with the honor to be invited to the “AHA Health for Life Community Forum” on October 22, 2008; organized by the American Health Association (AHA), South Florida Hospitals and Healthcare Association (SFHHA) and the Florida Hospital Association (FHA) and has been invited also by the South Florida Medical Group Management Association and the UHealth – University of Miami Health System, to participate in the forum “The Changing World of Medical Groups : How The Changes will affect Academic Medicine and Surrounding Communities” on October 8, 2008. SALUD al día magazine have been working very close with different institutions, in organizing Health Events with needed information for the community about health topics and free health screenings. The information and services he have been offering to the community, counted with the support of Pfizer, South Florida Hospitals and Healthcare Association, BlueCross BlueShield, Aflac, local hospitals and healthcare providers. All above activities, recognitions and invitations have encourage SALUD al día magazine to continue ahead with its educative mission, innovating and making strategic alliances with Hispanic Radio and TV stations, working very close with the community in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, offering health information to the increasing Hispanic Community in South Florida.
